nooyawka (1 Posts) 4/14/2010 5:35:27 PM	Meaning of the small letter that follows the medallion number on a license plate Can anyone tell me what the small letter that follows the medallion number on a NYC yellow cab's license plate means?  Why is it significant?  If it is important, why is it not part of the medallion number?  Thanks!

First replacement gets the extra A. If its replaced again, then it gets a B and so on.
